Mr DODGE Newbie Join Date: 8/16/2007 Location:  MD Posts: 2 Send PM Yes Saturday the 13th of October is the day for the LX SKYLINE DRIVE CRUIZE!! We will meet at Deans Steakhouse, 708 South Front Royal Avenue 22630 in Front Royal, Virginia. This Restaurant will be closed at that time of the morning but has a large parking lot and is easy in/out and is located @1/4 mile from the entrance to Skyline Drive. Across the street is a 7/11 and gas station TO TOP OFF!! Meeting Time will be @ 09:00 AM for Bench Racing. Departure Time will be at 10:00. We will be driving the full length of Skyline Drive which is 105 miles.... so....... BE SURE.................. Your gastank is full............. You have a snack (if needed)............. You have something to drink in your cooler (NON-ALKY)......... Your Camera is ready to take A LOT of pictures............... It's not totally devoid of civilization...........there are places (not trees/bushes) to "Relieve" yourselves along the way. REMEMBER..........this is NOT a "Catch-Me-If-You-Can/Pikes Peake Hill Climb". This is a CRUIZE.........it's a liesure, enjoy the scenery drive in our favorite cars. Also, slow enough for the folks at the side of the road to OOHHH,UUUU and AAAHHH as we pass by. I have not set any specific plans once we reach the end of the drive. We can look for a place to eat or if groups are heading home then your group can find a place. Some folks will have a long way home, some will stay over, etc,etc..... Also remember FRS (Family Radio Service Channel 8, Security Code 8 is our Channel.
